As a native Texan, Dr. Thompson believes that there is a certain honor being a Texan and you must do your best to live up to the big state’s expectations. Following that ethos, Dr. Thompson graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School with distinction. Specializing in pain management, Dr. Thompson completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor University in Dallas. He further developed his expertise in pain management through his rigorous medical program at Virginia Commonwealth University. As the CEO of Foundation Pain & Spine, Dr. Thompson is committed to helping his patients overcome chronic that is often debilitating and impacts every aspect of their life. As an interventional pain specialist, Dr. Thompson offers treatments that can treat the pain with highest levels of safety, efficiency, and innovation. As Dr. Thompson shares, “As a pain doctor, my main mission is to restore function and get them back to the being themselves again. Pain is different for everyone and there isn’t a one-size-fits all answer – it takes communication, commitment and change.
