- No hands-on physical exam
- You'll need to get lab work done separately
- Many telehealth platforms don't take insurance for the visit itself
- The provider relationship can feel less personal
In-Person Clinics
Pros:
- Full physical exam during your visit
- Lab work and monitoring done on-site
- More likely to bill your insurance
- Face-to-face relationship with your doctor or NP
- Better suited for patients with complex medical histories
Cons:
- You have to get yourself to the clinic
- Appointment wait times can be weeks out
- Consultation fees may run higher
